TRILUMIS
INSTALLATION

Turning lighting plans into reality.

Thoughtful lighting deserves careful installation. We support delivery with clear documentation, coordinated work and the right people – from the first installation meeting to handover.

Whether you need a new system, replacement luminaires or a continuous-row upgrade, we coordinate the lighting solution with your building and the appointed contractor. Installation, controls and future maintenance are considered together from the start.

NATIONWIDE PARTNERS. PERSONAL COORDINATION.

Your project. The right team.

We work with installation partners throughout Germany. Already have an electrical contractor you trust? We are equally happy to cooperate with your preferred company.

Our partner network

We agree the scope with you and involve a suitable installation partner. Your building, the use of each space and its technical requirements inform preparation from the outset.

Your trusted contractor

Established working relationships matter. We provide your chosen company with the relevant luminaire specifications, lighting plans and installation information, and resolve technical questions directly with the people involved.

NEW BUILD · REFURBISHMENT · EXTENSION

Install, modernise and extend your lighting.

A new hall requires different preparation from refurbishment during ongoing operations. We coordinate installation around the starting point on site and the intended lighting performance.

Create a new installation

In a new building, luminaire positions, fixings and control zones can be coordinated early with architecture and building services. We provide the product information and agree the installation documents needed by the project team. Future access and maintenance are considered from the outset.

The focus: clear interfaces between lighting design, electrical design and installation.

Modernise existing lighting

For refurbishment, we consider existing luminaires, trunking and room use together. Depending on the system, the solution may involve replacement luminaires, a compatible conversion or a new installation. Components proposed for retention are technically assessed and coordinated with the appointed contractor.

The focus: a suitable solution for the actual existing system.

Adapt and extend the space

New workstations, moved racks and additional machinery change visual tasks. We review how lighting can be extended or redistributed. Switching groups, sensor coverage and connections to existing controls are considered too, so the original and new areas work together sensibly.

The focus: lighting and operation that suit the changed use.

PREPARATION & IMPLEMENTATION

Installation planned around your operation.

Every building has its own requirements. Before work begins, we review the important details with you and the installation contractor to establish an agreed scope and clear responsibilities.

Understand the existing system

Floor plans, photographs and details of existing luminaires help with preparation. We also coordinate mounting heights, ceiling construction, access and work platforms. The contractor assesses the electrical infrastructure on site. For existing trunking, we check the proposed solution against the actual system: a similar-looking profile alone does not establish compatibility.

Work around everyday use

Production, office activities and goods movements should inform the installation plan. Together we discuss possible work phases, routes that must remain clear and areas that may be temporarily unavailable. Required shutdowns and access are coordinated with your team and the contractor. Whether and to what extent operations can continue during installation is assessed for each project.

Coordinate replacement and removal

For refurbishment, we define which components are to be retained and which replaced. This includes agreeing removal, transport and appropriate disposal of the old system. Existing fixings and components are not reused without assessment. Changes to the original luminaire layout are coordinated so that installation remains consistent with the calculated lighting design.

Coordinated down to the details.

We bring the client, lighting designer and installation contractor together to turn plans and products into a working system.

  1. Establish the starting point

We coordinate mounting heights, fixing arrangements, existing infrastructure and access. Together we define responsibilities and identify areas that need to remain in use during the work.

  2. Bring the documentation together

Luminaire layouts, technical data and intended control functions provide a shared basis. Where needed, we add CAD files and installation drawings and coordinate interfaces with other trades.

  3. Support implementation

The appointed qualified contractor carries out the electrical installation and required testing. We support product-related questions and coordinate any changes with the lighting design.

  4. Check the functions together

Switching groups, sensor coverage and agreed lighting scenes are checked during commissioning. Responsibilities for user training, test records and as-built documentation are agreed before handover.

Support beyond installation.

Good lighting needs to work in everyday use. That is why we consider operation and future maintenance from the beginning: which settings does your team need, where are product data and system records kept, and who can answer questions?

We support coordination between you and the contractor and remain your contact for our lighting solutions. Adjustments, extensions and component replacement can then build on a clearly documented system.

  • Introduction to the agreed switching groups, lighting scenes and user controls.
  • Agreed occupancy and daylight settings, with guidance for subsequent adjustments.
  • Collation of the agreed product documentation, system layouts and contractor test records.
  • Clear contacts for product questions, maintenance and suitable replacement components.
READY FOR IMPLEMENTATION

Important questions before installation.

A clear scope makes decisions easier. We discuss these points early with you and the appointed electrical contractor.

What information helps with the first discussion?

Floor plans, photographs, details of existing luminaires and room heights are useful. Operating hours, special work areas and your objectives for the new lighting also help. If records are missing, we establish which information still needs to be collected. Photographs alone cannot replace a complete technical site assessment.

Can we appoint our own installer?

Yes. We are equally happy to work with your trusted electrical contractor or our installation partners across Germany. We provide relevant product and planning information and coordinate technical questions directly. Contacts and responsibilities are agreed before work starts.

What is included in the agreed scope?

The scope is defined for your project. Beyond luminaires and installation, removal, work platforms, infrastructure changes, configuration, user instruction and documentation may be relevant. We clarify who offers and performs each part, keeping the product scope and installation services transparent.

How is the new lighting commissioned?

The appointed contractor handles electrical commissioning and the required tests. Agreed operating functions, switching groups and control settings are coordinated together. Sensors and lighting scenes should be checked under representative conditions. Whether additional lighting measurements are included, and who carries them out, is agreed in the project scope.

What happens if changes are needed on site?

Different mounting points, obstructions or operating requirements are discussed before changes are implemented. Adjusting positions, optics or luminaire types can affect the intended lighting performance. We review product and lighting-design changes and help keep the agreed installation traceable in the documentation.
