Warehouse lighting: reading labels and seeing routes

Shelves need attention as well as the floor.

Warehouses combine different visual tasks: reading labels, checking goods and moving along circulation routes. Evaluate shelf faces and working areas separately. High mounting positions, narrow aisles and shadows from stored goods influence results.

Sensors and lighting groups should match actual use. Detection must happen in time, and delays or brightness changes should not disrupt operations. After alterations, check that light distribution and detection zones still suit the shelving.

What to clarify for your project

  • Record shelf heights and loading.
  • Evaluate label surfaces.
  • Test sensors along typical routes.

Remember: Plan vertical surfaces and movement together.
